Look down 🌱
Conservation is right at your feet
When we’re talking about the capital-E Environment, being “good” to it often sounds like too tall an order. Too overwhelming a task. Frankly, too big to even begin.
It’s why we started Grounds for Action: so I, we and everyone you know can make meaningful, incremental changes to their behavior that exist within the immediate orbit. In light of that mission, here’s one quick bid to help our fellow Charlotteans go just a hair greener this fall. Because what sort of local advocates would we be if we didn’t shout out our local advocates?
Cut
Skip the store-bought stems. Head over to Crown Town Farm this coming Saturday, September 27th, for a tour of the grounds followed with fresh cut flowers. We’ll give you the rundown on what it looks like to run a regenerative farm (and maybe a few ideas to take home), plus a bouquet for the road.
Plant
Our final planting day at Shamrock Gardens is nearly upon us! Swing by the school on October 4th and help us put the finishing touches on the property’s all-new edible walkway. No experience or green thumb necessary. Coffee, snacks and gratuitous compliments provided.
Box
Our CSA boxes are a fantastic way to get all the fruits and veggies you need in your life, without all the harmful pesticides and freighting costs it takes to haul them to your local grocery store. Sign up for a box and follow @crowntownfarm on Instagram to see when we’re taking future orders.
Let’s move,
Kris
